Important Notice: 20-Hour Placement Requirements for QLD Traffic Control Courses
May 14, 2024

Acquired Awareness Training Centre (AATC) have noticed an uplift in phone calls requesting the organisation of 20 hour placements from learners who have not completed their Traffic Control course through AATC.
Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in QLD are required to provide a 20 hour placement to all Traffic Control (New Entrant) course attendees. This is usually achieved via an agreement between the RTO and your employer or the RTO and a traffic management company.
If you have attended a Traffic Control (New Entrant) course in QLD and were not offered a 20 hour placement or were been told the 20 hours is ‘your responsibility’ then:
Step 1)
Raise this matter via the RTOs ‘Dispute Resolution Process’ (this should be on their website and/or in their Student Handbook). If you do not get a satisfactory outcome then,
Step 2)
Contact the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads via: E: Te**********@tm*.au
